In 1901, Ettore Bugatti built and presented his first self-made automobile at an international exhibition in Milan. The rest as they say is history. The Bugatti brand had always been held in high esteem, especially in the arena of high-powered sports cars. In 1998, Volkswagen acquired the Bugatti trademark rights and the rebirth of a legend began. Unveiled at various automobile shows around the world were exceptional super-powered Bugatti models, each equally striking in design and impressive in technical configuration. In 2000, the EB Veyron 16.4 Bugatti was born. With a few technical modifications and some redesigning, the concept car evolved to become the first in the new era of Bugatti to be produced.
